Kitty Bertlin - Bio

Hi – my name is Kitty and  I am a real person and gardener.  My passion is composting, particularly kitchen and yard waste. I am currently using passive composting, worm composting, and electric composters.  This is my effort to reduce the impact of kitchen waste on our landfill while returning valuable nutrients back into the soil.

There are numerous ways to compost.  I hope to provide you with information and resources to help you choose the right system for your own home garden.

I am not an expert, but a student of nature. I love growing things and grew up gardening, canning, drying produce and composting.  I believe we are stewards of our planet and can make a difference no matter how small.

I will share gardening, recycling and reusing tips for your pleasure.  I also have a monthly newsletter that you can sign up to receive with much more detailed information and resources.
